Thirty Paintings in 30 Days - Day 28

I feel like I am hitting my stride - only took 28 days (hahaha), into the habit of painting daily, the ideas are flowing (okay - most of the time), I am 'drawing' more, not detailed but I am getting the imagery and info I need (and want) and enjoying my models!! Well, actually I enjoy my 'models' all the time.

Today's offering is pure fun - a bit wonky, but I don't think I would have attempted this at the beginning of the month. The 'blue ball' rules in our house. Luckily for us Cleo is the ball girl and Kali loves a stick - everyone is happy!

  1. So sweet :) I think you hit your stride long ago. But I get it totally. Coming with less struggle. Awesome work here, love the patterns, and the wonky ;) And the look that says, "This ball is mine. Wanna play?"

  3. ONE of the gifts of your paintings this month has been the style of your drawings and their partially veiled visibility in the finished pieces. Love your description of "getting the imagery and info I need (and want)" from drawing first. Love that painting daily has moved you into new spaces.

    1. Thank you Dotty. I have always recognized the value of drawing - but have never been that accepting of how I draw - you know how that inner conversation goes! Having you recognize my 'style' is a gift I am grateful for this month. Have a wonderful day ox

  4. Gorgeous series of your dogs portraits. Enjoying so much all of them: the process, the result and the stories.

  7. I am so glad you can see that Carol! Means a lot. Like you we love and value our animals as part of our family. Having you see that in these paintings is really more than I had hoped for when I started the 30 Days. Thank you very, very much ox
