Thirty Paintings in 30 Days - Day 25

'Max'
8"X8"
Acrylic mixed media on Fabriano 140lb
Coldpress watercolour paper

Meet Max - a Cardigan Welsh Corgi. Well a corgi for sure and Cardigan's have quite large ears compared to their cousins the Pembroke - all rather confusing but I do think Max takes pride in his ears!

    1. Thx Carol - the background didn't occur to me initially, but then the light went on!

  2. Strong contrasts coupled with soft bleeds from one thing to the next; appealing asymmetries; faint sketch marks: great mix!

    1. Thanks Dotty - enjoyed painting this boy - he was a very co-operative 'subject'.

  3. OK, how did you make the background marks? Am I seeing little x's? Anyway, it is cool. And Max has the prettiest coat ever ;) Love the golden light shining through ;)

    1. I cut a stencil Sheila - wanted something with 'uneven lines'....not hard for me to cut that!! I didn't put any x's in intentionally but they could be their. Glad he's giving you a reason to smile.
