Thirty Paintings in 30 Days - Day 27

Only three days left! They say the third one's the charm, but pretty sure I disproved that today! Probably could have gone on to attempt a number 4, but I managed to restrain myself! This poor painting has been put through the wringer. I am surprised the paper held up as good as it did. But it is what it is. Just painting and some extra colour added using watercolour crayons. I hope you had a good day!

  1. I do like the feel of this painting. Of course I have the advantage of a fresh "eye". It works beautifully. I hope you sign it.

    1. Thank you Martine! Wasn't exactly what I was thinking yesterday - don't think I could really post those thoughts.....I am going to put it away and maybe look again later today.

  4. If this painting was put through the wringer, I want a wringer just like yours!

I like the interplay in this piece of thoughtful decisions and freeform self-expression.

This piece carries a sense of noticing the ordinary and celebrating it quietly.

  7. Love this Janet! Slightly sad, rainy day looking for the sun. I love that blue. (Why can't I think of the name?) I love how it shows up unexpectedly in the sky and foreground. And I love how it has collected along the shore line. That small bit of warmth on the shore, and that huge white cloud keep this from being ominous or depressing. A favorite :)
