Thirty Paintings in 30 Days - Day 12

I was going through some pictures from a trip we took a couple of years ago to the province of Newfoundland and Labrador. It is a beautiful part of the world and we thoroughly enjoyed driving along coastal roads and hiking some of the trails along the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. Today's painting is inspired by some of the views (loosely interpreted of course) and how standing at the top of some of the cliffs you seemed to be able to see forever.

Cape St Mary's
Ecological Reserve
Thousands of birds nest here in the summer on the
rock stacks. The white specks on the rocks and
in the sky are the birds. A magical spot!

  1. Love that scratchy goodness! I bet that was a sight to see! Love the palette, and how I can just barely see the pattern repeated in the water. Awesome!
