I think this little chick is 'cloud gazing'.....
'Pip' 8"X8" Acrylic mixed media on canvas |
Still haven't decided if I will leave the background as is and there really isn't a rush to decide. I ran out of the small birch panels and used what I had on hand. Had really planned to do all the paintings for this challenge on the small, square birch panels but things do happen for a reason.
White space! Leave it :) There is just enough going on that it is alive and interesting, while at the same time allowing Pip to shine. I am in love with his patchwork plumage, his bent beak and ceremonial headdress. Adding this to my favorites stack. LOL :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Sheila for the comments - I agree about the whitespace - glad for your reply before I did something I would regret! Hope you are finding time to paint and are enjoying some studio time!

my strength, pip, pip, pip.
You are hired! As soon as I start thinking about writing for these chicks my mind gets clogged. Love these words for little Pip! Appreciate you taking the time to write for these little birds! Hope you will enjoy a day that includes some creative time - with whatever medium - words, paint - you choose! :))
DeleteThe sky is falling! The sky is falling! Love the background space!
ReplyDeleteThanks Carol - going with a 'less is more'!
