Thirty Paintings in 30 Days - Day 17

'Cinnamon'
5"X5"
Acrylic mixed media on birch panel

Back on track with the daily painting. The chickens are great for practicing a variety of things - colour theory, underpainting, mark making, composition, design, 'practicing' drawing (never do enough of that!) .....but... they really are just fun to paint!

    2. thank you, and you're most welcome

it's like painting with a limited palette—i have an idea and 17 syllables with which to express it

i think i'll revise the above to read as follows:

      blazing sunset as
      her backdrop, cinnamon struts
      with false modesty

      : )
