Love the colorful lines as well. Love that they look accidental, but perfectly placed as well. :)Sheilahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15051980478832038967noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-374850929419683725.post-65683554557478325592017-02-11T11:05:51.711-07:002017-02-11T11:05:51.711-07:00Thanks Nelvia. Spent a fair amount of time looking at this painting - not a lot of painting was happening - then inspiration struck! Plus my studio muse - Cleo - wanted dinner. I wonder what it is that speaks to you about prairie/plains landscapes? As for the teaser - I too am wondering - with a bit of trepidation - where it will end up! Take care and have a lovely weekendJanet Bradishhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12191437039583701400noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-374850929419683725.post-21210407191816400412017-02-11T06:35:38.414-07:002017-02-11T06:35:38.414-07:00I think we are all struggling to get back into the...I think we are all struggling to get back into the the swing of things at a slower level. I really like all the texture and can see some of the same things that I see in the next one. Really like your color choices too and can see the same cold as Dotty. Nice. Hang in there and you will soon have new expanded comfort zones.Nelviahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18270512609434415587noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-374850929419683725.post-39753098272297231262017-02-11T04:18:08.228-07:002017-02-11T04:18:08.228-07:00Janet, first I want to let you know that even thou...Janet, first I want to let you know that even though I have NOT resolved my blog subscription issue (which turns out to affect all my blogspot subscriptions fed by feedburner) despite persistent effort, I HAVE discovered that I can successfully subscribe using my gmail address. It was SO exciting to have your post waiting in my inbox this morning! YAY!!!<br /><br />"February Chinook" is such a perfect fit for your painting! The painting has a strong wintry elemental feel to it, a landscape of weather and ore. My eye is drawn particularly to the vertical streaks/scratches. I am right out in the vast open northern plains when I see this painting—and I find myself wondering what it is in my inner landscape that finds such resonance here.<br /><br />Love that you gave us a teaser by showing us what you'll use as your next painting start. Eager to see where it takes you. dotty seiter: now playinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05996945853595200200noreply@blogger.com
